Tasting note
A field blend born of a difficult vintage. Powdery mildew took most of the Merlot in August; what remained was clean and ripe, blended with the Cabernet that came through unscathed. Dark fruit, a touch of caramel, gentle tannin. A small wine with a real story.
Site
The Cabernet and Merlot share the lower terrace of the Kedros parcel, where the slope eases and the soil deepens. In 2025 the humidity arrived later and harder than usual — the Merlot suffered, the Cabernet held. The blend is the record of that year.
Process
Cleanly sorted, destemmed, lightly crushed. Fermented on the skins for nine days, then pressed and combined in glass. Two rackings, seventeen parts per million of sulphites at bottling. Five and a half bottles — that is the entire production.
